Text version for 'The Cadbury Cocoa Partnership'

Shigeki Komatsubara, UNDP

The cocoa community, cocoa growing industry, has been the driving engine of Ghana’s economic and social growth even since before the independence of Ghana.

Stephen Nyame, General Agricultural Workers Union, Ghana

Fifty years is the average age of a Ghana cocoa farmer now. The younger ones are not entering into cocoa farming. So it is very important that the Cadbury Cocoa Partnership has come now so that we come together to form a partnership to encourage the youth to enter cocoa farming, otherwise the idea of cocoa farming will collapse.

Auckhinleck Kwame Adow, World Vision

This new initiative from Cadbury is going to revolutionise the social working of cocoa farming areas in Ghana.

With this initiative I know that Cadbury can attract other investment funds and it is a great opportunity to touch the lives of our people.
