benefits for Cadbury
Cadbury has a long history of social responsibility. In the 19th century, the Cadbury family held strong beliefs about social reform, justice and equality.
Far ahead of their time, Cadbury provided good quality housing in a pleasant ‘green’ environment, education, training, pension schemes and medical facilities for their workers at their Bournville factory.
The Cadbury Cocoa Partnership is part of this tradition. You can find out more about Cadbury’s history on the Cadbury website.
Cadbury also has business reasons for investing in Ghana. The Partnership will help to address the problems of low productivity and young people leaving cocoa farming that could threaten the supplies of Ghana’s good quality cocoa beans that Cadbury relies on.
