self assessment
When you are busy doing a job day-to-day, it is important, every now and then, to take a step back and question why you are working in a certain way, and look at how your work might be improved. Self assessment is one way for an employee to consider their own performance.
An employee may be asked to rate themselves on a scale of 1-10 on various aspects of their performance at work, e.g.
- I always seek feedback on my work
- I am meeting all of the requirements of my role
- I praise and reward the successes of other members of my team
- I understand the benefits to Cadbury of New Product Development
Through this process of evaluating skills and achievements, and focusing on strengths and weaknesses, vital information is provided for staff to develop further within the company.
